This rating policy is in addition to the Service Guidelines and Terms of Service to which all users must adhere, regardless of the rating. If you find a channel that is not tagged correctly, please contact our team at https://go.dlive.tv/contact/ to report a suspected violation of this rating policy.
We expect material and behavior on the public listing pages on DLive to be suitable for a general audience (equivalent to G, PG, or PG-13 in motion picture ratings), and those pages are mainly for gaming and general entertainment.
DLive offers the following ratings for streams. Streamers are responsible to apply accurate ratings to their own streams, and DLive expects them to ensure all their streams have correct rating labels at all times. Failure to apply a correct rating can result in various actions against your account.
- Family Friendly
- Mature Audience Only
- X-Tag
Family Friendly
✔ Monetized
✔ Shown on home page
✔ Able to apply for DLive Verified & Global Partnership
Family friendly streams are intended for all audiences including those under the age of 17. Your stream must not contain excessive swearing, drinking alcohol, smoking or other adult themes.
Mature Audience
✔ Monetized
✔ Shown on home page with warning
✔ Able to apply for DLive Verified & Global Partnership
This rating is for streams that are appropriate for mature audiences only and are not subject to an X-Tag rating. This includes but not limited to:
- Gambling
- 18+ Video Games
- Smoking
- Drinking Alcohol
- Excessive profanity
- Game nudity
- Graphic depictions of violence
- Criticism of religious or political positions, or religious or political advocacy
- Other behaviors inappropriate for minors or vulnerable persons
Enabling the mature tag will require users to agree to watch your content (this option is saved on the user’s browser/apps)
X-Tag
❌ Monetization
❌ Able to apply for Verified & Global Partnership
❌ Shown on home page by default - unless the user enables X-Tag streams from their account settings.
“X” tagged content will be restricted to users who have the “X-Tag” content filter enabled. The “X-Tag” can be applied to individual pieces of content or to the entire channel. For example, the following categories of material or behavior, to the extent they are acceptable under the Terms of Service and the Service Guidelines (to which all material and behavior must conform), must have an X-Tag:
- Intense criticism of persons or groups
- Behaviors and statements that may lead to political or religious strife
- Discussions, depictions, or simulations of violence (including fantasy) involving real persons
- Other provocative behaviors and statements
- Sexual materials
- Unpredictable material or behavior (randomized material or behavior that, while generally not meeting the X-Tag criteria, could unexpectedly contain behaviors or material that deserve an X-Tag)
Failure to place an appropriate X-Tag on your live stream may result in a X-Tag placed on your entire channel, including permanently, at DLive’s sole discretion and judgment. When in doubt, apply a more restrictive rating to your streams.
